Starting at a Run

Hi everyone,

The start to 2023 has been interesting to say the least. I’m sticking to my schedule regarding my secret project and the first draft remains on course to be completed by the end of January. My characters, as usual, have decided that they don’t want to stick to the original plot and have gone off on their own tangent – and it works 🙂 Also a new story waved its hand and as much as I wanted to set it to one side and focus on the book I’m currently working on, the main character insisted I start on his. So I now have two books on the go.

Now, concerning the Hellbound Chronicles and what I alluded to in my previous blog post. They will continue with the old characters and some new. The novels will be the next chapter in the chronicles and will come under the heading of “The Hellbound Chronicles: The Next Generation.” I’m aiming to get the first book out either at the end of this year or the start of 2024. I will let you know more when I’ve made a decision, which will be based on the number of books I’m already aiming to get out this year. I’m not going to rush any of them, including this new one, and put out subpar novels. That wouldn’t be fair to either you the readers or the characters.

That’s all for now, so back into the writing cave I go 🙂

Turn the Page

Hi everyone 🙂

Sorry for the gap in posting. There has been a lot going on, some good some not so. On the good side, my latest book, Destiny’s Kiss is now live. It’s the first in a new series and I’m really excited about it. I’m now working on the next book in the Hellbound Chronicles which I’m aiming to release mid/end November. I will try and keep you all up to date on its progress 🙂

The not so good side is health related. I’m struggling at the moment, but my stubbornness will no doubt help me as I move forward. For me, each battle I fight leaves a seed of strength behind, waiting to blossom at the right moment.

The muse is treating me well. She recently whispered in my ear and gave me a new story idea. One, that if things go according to plan, should be published some time next year.

Well, that’s all for now. Take care, stay safe, and never stop dreaming 😉

Of Words and Muses

Hi everyone,

Well, I had my first Covid shot last week and fortunately the only side effect I suffered was a sore arm where the needle went in. So that meant apart from a few additional breaks my writing schedule remained unchanged, which I was thankful for. The latest round of Betrayed edits has been completed, so that is being set aside for a day before I read it through for what I’m hoping will be the final time. Though I’ve learned never to count my chickens before they’ve hatched where my writing is concerned.

My muse, bless her, seems to have upped her caffeine intake because while I was working on edits she dropped a new story idea into my mind. I have the bare bones written down but I won’t be starting on it until I’ve caught up on my release schedule. Given the number of books I’m set to work on, this new story probably won’t see the light of day – or a word document until the latter part of the year. When I make a final decision I’ll let you all know 🙂

If you want to know more about me, I can be found on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, and Goodreads. If you are curious about my books then please head over to either my website or my Amazon Author Page where you will find them listed 🙂

That’s all for now, so until next time stay safe and well.

Raven’s Round Up

Hi everyone,

A short post today as I’m working on stories and edits. As the title of blog post says, this is a round up of things going on in my world. I’ve just completed the second round of edits on the second Nocturnus novel and I’ll be going over them after I’ve taken a day off. Work on my secret project is moving along nicely and a new story I’m working on is starting to take better shape.

I’m hoping to start getting some words down on the second Kacie Rayne novel in a couple of weeks and I’m aiming to get that out by the end of the year. I’m also hoping to get my secret project out at around the same sort of time, but I’ll let you know more when things are clearer.

In the meantime, if you want to check out my current releases then please head over to my Amazon Author Page where you will find them listed. I’m also on Facebook, and I have a website, so please feel free to check them out as well 🙂

That’s all for now, so until next time take care and stay safe.

Where’s The Coffee?

Hi everyone,

Welcome back to my sometimes crazy world of words and characters who like to do their own thing. At the moment I swear there aren’t enough hours in a day for me to get everything done. Book three in the Resurrection City series is on its final read through, I’m also hard at work on the cover and blurb, and I’m working on the first of a new series (more to come about that later). So as you can imagine coffee is my best friend at the moment.

One look at that might have some people asking why I do what I do, and my answer is simple – I love writing. I love creating worlds where for a few hours people can lose themselves and escape. As long as I have that love, as long as I get joy in siting down and listening to my characters, I will continue to create worlds and weave stories.

An Unexpected Change

Hi everyone,

Since my last post things have taken a detour. Hell Bound Chronicles three is well underway and the release date will be announced soon. However, another story I am working on, one that was due to be released under a shiny new pen name has decided to land in my lap. Why? Because my alter ego has decided to take another route and a new story connected to her is well underway. The one that is now going to come out under my name is almost completed. There is some further editing to be done, but so far I’m more than happy with it.

Covers for both are already under construction and as soon as I am ready to reveal them I will let you know here and on my social media platforms.

Well, that’s all for now, so back into the writing and editing cave I go.

Better Late Than Never.

Hi everyone,

Sorry for not posting last Sunday as promised, but things are getting hectic in my world. I’m working through the final edits of Darake and writing a new story, which I will tell you all about later. Because I’m running to a tight schedule, this will be a short post.

I’ve been checking out some of the new preorders and there is plenty around to suit most everyone’s taste 🙂 First up is a preorder for a romance collection, featuring among others, a story by Ursula Sinclair. If you like your stories with a little bit of spice, then grab Sultry Nights: A Limited Edition Romance Collection

Next up is another preorder. This one is from the pen of Robyn Peterman. If a short read is what you are looking for, then grab yourself a copy of A Fashionably Dead Diary

Of course, I can’t go without mentioning my next release, which is also up for preorder across Amazon. If you like demons, feisty women, and romance, then pick up a copy of Darake: A Demon Prince Novel

Well, that’s it for now on the book recommendation front. I’ll catch up with you on the 15th, when I may share something from my new story. Until then, take care, and have a fantastic week.
