Well, I had my first Covid shot last week and fortunately the only side effect I suffered was a sore arm where the needle went in. So that meant apart from a few additional breaks my writing schedule remained unchanged, which I was thankful for. The latest round of Betrayed edits has been completed, so that is being set aside for a day before I read it through for what I’m hoping will be the final time. Though I’ve learned never to count my chickens before they’ve hatched where my writing is concerned.
My muse, bless her, seems to have upped her caffeine intake because while I was working on edits she dropped a new story idea into my mind. I have the bare bones written down but I won’t be starting on it until I’ve caught up on my release schedule. Given the number of books I’m set to work on, this new story probably won’t see the light of day – or a word document until the latter part of the year. When I make a final decision I’ll let you all know 🙂
If you want to know more about me, I can be found on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, and Goodreads. If you are curious about my books then please head over to either my website or my Amazon Author Page where you will find them listed 🙂
That’s all for now, so until next time stay safe and well.
Things are in the early stages of chaos within the Raven home. My writing schedule for the week is up in the air due to my first Covid shot tomorrow (Tuesday). Having heard from friends the knock on effect it can have, I might either suffer mild effects or get knocked on my rear for four days. If it’s the latter then my writing will go on hold until I work through it. Of course I doubt my characters would take kindly to any sort of delay given they are enjoying tossing curve balls at me. I swear they are the reason I’ve developed a coffee addiction 😀 😀
Regarding my current w.i.p’s, Betrayed is going through its second round of edits which has entailed additional changes. Fortunately, I’m still on track for an end of April release. My second w.i.p is on hold until those edits are completed. That one I am aiming for a mid to end of May release, (more info when I have it). I do have a rough schedule in place regarding other book releases for the year, but I’m keeping it fluid so as to not put undue pressure on myself.
Don’t forget that you can find me on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, and Goodreads. If you want to discover what books I’ve published then please head over to either my website or my Amazon Author Page where you will find them listed 🙂
Well, that’s all for now. Stay safe and well 🙂
Hi everyone 🙂
I’m sure I’m not the only one who is losing track of what day of the week they are on. Heck, I think at some point I might have lost track of what week it is. Fortunately, my characters and muse don’t care about such things and remind me that at the moment days and weeks don’t really matter. What does is getting the words down and the stories written. And that leads me nicely into how things are progressing in my writing world 🙂
I announced on my Facebook page that my first release of the year would be titled “Betrayed” and is the first in a new series. The cover reveal is set for April 3rd with the release date tentatively set for the end of April. When I can announce a set date I will post it on my Facebook page. My other work in progress is moving along nicely and I reckon that will probably be out end of May. I’ll provide more info about that when I can. I’m aiming to release at least another three books after that one, so I’m seriously going to have to get on top of my time management to ensure I can get them done.
Apart from all that I’m finally getting over my bronchitis and falling into a more settled sleep pattern. There are few glitches where I end up sleeping on the couch, but fortunately they are becoming fewer. With luck and better weather I’ll soon be able to start spending time in the garden working and of course, writing 🙂
Well, that’s all for now. If you want to keep up with all that is going on in my world, please feel free to follow me on my Facebook page, Instagram, Pinterest, and Goodreads. If you want to discover all my current releases then head on over to my website where you will find them listed.
Take care and stay safe.
A new month brings with it fresh hopes and new opportunities. It also in a way gives you a chance to reboot and revise previously made plans, and that’s where I find myself. I know the continued lockdown due to Covid and the time it is taking to get over my illness have impacted me, but something strange happened when the new month started. Stress, useless concerns, and worries dropped away, leaving me with a clearer focus on what I want. No, that’s the wrong way to put it, what I am going to do moving forward. Plans are already being set in place and my old foe procrastination has been kicked into touch. I know I can’t plan for every eventuality, but I’m going to do my best to try.
So, the first days of this month haven’t been bad. Edits have started on one of my w.i.p’s, and the second is close to having its first draft completed. I’m currently looking at utilizing other social media, so once I have made my decisions I’ll post links to them in case you want to follow me. I will be making announcements regarding the cover reveal dates and tentative release dates for my current w.i.p’s this week on my Facebook Page.
Well, that’s all for now. So until next time, take care and stay safe.
I hope you are all staying safe and keeping well. Here in the Raven household I’m slowly getting over my bronchitis though the fatigue it brings with it is still kicking my rear. Fortunately, the muse and my characters have been patient and the slow trickle of words is starting to increase. With my writing starting to get back on track, I’m going to be setting some time aside to get some much needed spring cleaning done. What I’m aiming to do is streamline some things in my writing life with the ultimate aim of achieving my goal of being able to write full time sooner. It mainly involves streamlining the amount of groups I’m in and utilizing social media better, and being more time savvy. My Achilles heel at present is marketing, so I’m going to make sure to spend time on getting to grips with that.
In regard to my writing, both w.i.p’s are moving along nicely and if all goes well I will be making a cover reveal announcement for one on Friday. I do have a release schedule sorted out, which I fully intend on sticking to this time 🙂 While you wait for my next release, why not head over to my website and check out all the ebooks currently available. If you want to follow me and see what I’m up to in my writing world, then please feel free to follow me on Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, and Goodreads.
Well, that’s all for now. So back into the writing cave I go 🙂
As you can gather from the title, my motivation has decided to take a vacation. While it’s probably due to me battling bronchitis I really wish it had put up more of a fight before leaving. Trying to write while my body and brain are going “nope” is to me at least, like trying to wade through imaginary molasse. What hasn’t helped is my frustration at not being able to fix my focus for any great length of time on what I need to do. So I took a few days off and while it has put me behind schedule, I’m not going to allow myself to get wound up over it because all that would do is make things worse. I’m easing back into writing and my characters, while slightly annoyed at me are talking. With luck my motivation will return from its vacation soon and I can get back up to speed.
Talking of writing, my w.i.p’s are slowly moving forward and I’m hoping to provide more info about them on my Facebook page by the end of this week. There might also be a cover reveal date hint 🙂
If you want to keep up to date on what is going on in my writing world then please feel free to follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, or Goodreads. If you want to check out my published books then head over to my website where you will find them listed and where they are available.
Well, that’s all for now. So until next next time, stay safe and well.
I hope you are all staying safe and well. Here in my nest last week was what I would call a far from normal one. With building/renovation work going on next door combining with my outside work which starts early in the morning, my focus has been scattered and my exhaustion level has risen. I won’t deny that less than stellar combination hasn’t hit my writing, but I’ve refused to let it derail me completely. My rate of words being set down might have dipped, but I’m determined to get things back on track this week. I have set my targets and I’m going to push my hardest to get through this exhaustion and hit them 🙂
Both main w.i.p’s are close to the midway point, so with determination and lots of coffee I should *fingers crossed* get them completed by the end of this week. When that is achieved, other parts of my revised six month plan will kick in and I’ll tell you more about those later. In the meantime if you want to find out more about my writing world, then please check me out on Facebook , Pinterest, Goodreads, or Instagram
That’s all for now, so until next time take care and stay safe 🙂
Hi everyone 🙂
Today is apparently Blue Monday, the day which is supposed to be the most depressing of the year, and I have to admit to feeling a little blegh today. My mojo needed more of a kick start than usual, not even two cups of coffee helped get it going. So I stepped back and grabbed a book to read. Getting lost in other worlds was just what I needed, and a bit later than normal I opened Word and got down to writing. Fortunately, my characters forgave me for my rotten morning and started chatting the second I sat down. Both W.I.P’s are progressing nicely, and I will be able to tell you more about them soon. My plotting of a third book is also moving along nicely, so that means out of the six books I am intending on releasing this year, two will hopefully be released within the next couple of months.
If you want to keep up to date with what I’m doing then please feel free to like my Facebook Page or follow me on Instagram, Goodreads, or Pinterest.
That’s all for now, so stay safe and I will catch you all again soon 🙂
Hi everyone 🙂
I hope you all made it through the first week of the new year okay 🙂 Here in the Raven house it was spent trying to get all my ducks in a row, but as is usual for me one or two wandered off and I had to chase after them. Eventually things calmed down and I was able to focus on my plans for the month, which primarily involve writing two stories and mapping out one. I have also set myself long term goals, ones that I will not let procrastination derail this year. I’ll keep you up to date on the progress of my current w.i.p’s and will share snippets when the first drafts are completed.
My latest release, Love Strikes, is now available across Amazon and I’m hoping to get it on Smashwords soon. If you are interested in finding out what other books I have released then please head over to my website or check out my Amazon Author Page, where you can find them listed 🙂
That’s all for now, so until next time, keep reading and stay safe.
Hi everyone and Happy New Year!
Well, 2020 is behind us and we now enter a new year, one that I fervently hope is better for us all. On the last day of the old year I sat down and started making plans for 2021, ones I am determined to complete. One of my plans is to release six books this year. Now, usually I would give specific dates on when each one would see the world, but this year I’m not doing that. Why? Because I discovered that by locking myself into a fixed date I put stress on myself which in turn affected my writing. My stories will come out when they are ready and the first draft of one is almost completed.
By working in this new way I already feel better and I am gaining more enjoyment from my writing. As writers we do things in our own way and by doing so we create various and wonderful worlds for our readers to enjoy.
So in this new year, let us all continue to write and continue to create new worlds, so that all who read our books escape into their imagination if only for a brief time.
