Coffee and Contemplation

Hi everyone 🙂

I hope April is treating you all with kindness. So far for me this month has been a bit of a mixed bag personal wise and I have to admit to having moments of overthinking (which, trust me is never a good thing in my world.) However, things are calming down and as they do I’m seeing some areas/things in a new light. Decisions are being made, ones I now see are long overdue and they are all good 🙂

One of those decisions is to be more focused on my writing. With everything that has gone on my focus has wavered slightly, but no more. I’m working on setting a schedule in place that will enable me to set my focus where it needs to be so my career can progress forward. Its bare bones are already in place and seem to be working well.

Speaking of writing, both my secret project and the first book in the Hellbound Chronicles – Next Generation series are close to completion. I have already posted a small teaser regarding my secret project on my Facebook page, and fingers crossed one from the Hellbound Chronicles – Next Generation will be up soon, so make sure to keep a look out for it.

Well, that’s all for now, so back I go to working on my plan 🙂

A Busy Raven

Hi everyone 🙂

Welcome back to my world and the chaos within it. I hope you are all doing well and looking forward to Easter. I’m still hard at work on my three books, though there is some much needed rescheduling going on. After all even for me there is only so much chaos I can handle before I realize some level of order might be called for.

All three books are well underway and with the new schedule I’ve set in place things should hopefully run slightly smoother. Now, I did promise an update regarding teasers, so here it is. I will next week be posting a couple of small teasers concerning two characters from my secret project, one of which will make their appearance just before the end of book one. And they along with their counterpart will play a large role in the second book (which is presently being plotted). In regard to my other two books, I will let you know about teasers for them when I am able.

I will be posting all teasers on my FaceBook Page, so make sure to check it out from Monday April 1st.

Well, that’s all for now, so back to editing I go 🙂

Sanity? What Sanity?

Hi everyone and welcome again to the House of Raven 🙂

My world is currently operating in what passes for normal mode, which actually means anything can and usually does happen when the characters in my current works in progress slip out of my control – which occurs more often than I care to admit. When I manage to pull them back under control, editing resumes on the first books in my two new series and they are now well underway, though the characters in my secret project seem to enjoy shredding what remains of my sanity at every opportunity they get.

Talking of edits, given how they are moving along it’s looking as if I will be able to start sharing some small snippets in a couple of weeks, so keep a look out for them 😉 Cover designs for both books are also well underway so fingers crossed if everything continues coming together at the rate it is, I should soon be able to set a tentative release date.

Well, that’s all for now, so take care and I’ll catch you all again soon.

It’s Not Me

Hi everyone and welcome back to the House of Raven 🙂

The title of my post might seem strange but I will do my best to explain why I’ve chosen it in a bit. Firstly, I want to bring you all up to date on my current w.i.p’s. The first book in the HellBound Chronicles – The Next Generation has hit the fifth round of edits and everything is moving along nicely. My secret project is now undergoing its fourth round of edits and just like my other w.i.p it is moving along nicely as well. Fingers crossed I will, as promised before, be able to start sharing some small snippets soon.

Now to my post title. Recently I realized that if something adds no benefit to my life or impacts it in a negative way, it’s not me. What I mean by that is if it doesn’t help me, aid me, or benefit me in a positive way then I don’t need it. A small realization perhaps, but one that has by its arrival lifted so much off my shoulders and enabled me to truly focus on what brings me joy and makes me happy. So I move forward; clearer headed, lighter, determined, and ready to seize every positive opportunity that comes my way.

Have a truly wonderful day 🙂

On We Go

Hi everyone 🙂

Well my virus is still hanging around which is making doing any work interesting, but I am managing to get some done. Editing is going well on both the first book in the HellBound Chronicles – The Next Generation and my secret project. I’m also trying to sort out covers for both, but unfortunately my cotton wool brain is refusing to play ball with that, so it looks like I might have to put that off until I’m fully recovered.

I have to admit that naps have become my best friend while I’m fighting this. I swear I haven’t taken so many in a long time, but my body and brain certainly seem to appreciate them 😀

That’s all for now. Hopefully when I post next this virus will finally be cleared and I’ll be back to what passes for normal in my life.

Take care one and all.

Knocked for Six

Hi everyone,

Robert Burns wrote “the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry,” and I find myself agreeing with that at the moment because my plans were sent sideways due to a chest infection. With that and a head that feels as if it is stuffed with cotton wool, I’ve not managed to get much accomplished. Some editing has been done on the HellBound Chronicles – The Next Generation and my secret project, which I am happy about, but most of my time has been spent curled up on the couch clutching a large cup of coffee.

Hopefully by the time of my next post I will be back on schedule and able to give you a better update – and maybe even a small teaser from one of the w.i.p’s I’m working on.

That’s all for now 🙂

Hello 2024

Hi everyone and welcome back to the House of Raven. Firstly, I would like to wish you all a belated Happy New Year. I hope your celebrations to welcome in the new year were all that you wanted them to be. 2024 has started for me like all previous years have – I picked up a chest infection which managed to knock me sideways. Fortunately I’m slowly getting back on track and my writing is back to where I planned it would be by this time.

The first book in the new HellBound Chronicles series is currently undergoing its second round of edits, and I’ve just completed the first round of edits on my secret project. Finally I’m getting a handle on time management which I am both pleased and relieved about as last year it proved to be a major pain, so as long as I hold to it the schedule I have in place will be maintained.

Every new year brings with it fresh opportunities, and believe me when I tell you I will seize every one that comes my way. My focus is fixed and my determination is strong, so it’s time for this Raven to really spread her wings and fly!

Have a great month 😀

New Year, New Chapter

Hi everyone 🙂

Welcome to the World of Raven again. With the old year winding down to a close, it’s a time for looking back and reviewing all the events of 2023. Overall it’s been a good year; my writing has progressed and in the second half of the year plans started forming, ones that will fully kick into gear in 2024.

As I promised in my previous post, here is some information regarding those plans. In 2024 I will be finishing up several of my current series, the bulk of them will remain as ebooks only. I will however be releasing The HellBound Chronicles series in paperback, along with the two new series I am currently working on – and one of those series I can now announce will be a continuation of The HellBound Chronicles and it will be entitled The HellBound Chronicles – The Next Generation. The secret project I am working on will be the second series that will come out in both ebook and paperback. As I settle on dates for releases they will be announced on my website and my Facebook page.

As this will be the last post of 2023 I would like to wish you all a Happy, Prosperous, and Joy Filled 2024. May it see all your hopes and dreams fulfilled 🙂 Thank you for all your support, it is truly welcomed and received with gratitude.

Catch you all in 2024 😀

Here It Comes

Hi everyone 🙂

Welcome back to my world. Things have, as usual, been frenetic and slightly crazy (no change there then). My Christmas story – A Devilish Christmas is now out across Amazon, so if you want to pop into the world of the Hellbound Chronicles I know you will enjoy it 🙂 This short story is my last release of the year, though that doesn’t mean I’ve stopped writing. Oh no, far from it. I’m currently working on the first books in two new series which will appear in 2024 and I will soon start plotting the last book in one of my current series.

My plans for the new year which include the new series are almost completed, which given there are only two weeks left in 2023 is cutting it close. I will be sharing some of them with you in my last post of the year.

So, as the wind down to the holiday begins I send your way all my best wishes for a happy, peaceful, and joy filled Christmas. May the season be all that you want it and wish it to be.

Seasons Greetings,

Raven.

Things are Afoot

Hi everyone,

Welcome back to my crazy and never boring world. There have been a few things going on that I want to share with you all, so here goes. Firstly, regarding the Christmas story based within the Hellbound Chronicles world – that is on course to be released the first week of December. Once everything is in place I will let you know here and on my Facebook page.

Regarding my plans for next year. They are close to completion, so fingers crossed I will be able to share them with you all before Christmas 🙂

On a side note – this week has been one of mini epiphanies for me. Ones that I didn’t realize I needed but I am glad they made an appearance. They’ve made me see some things in a new light and had me re-evaluate certain areas of my world. Changes are coming for the new year and I can assure you they are nothing but good ones 🙂

That’s all for now 😉
