Ahh, May.

Hi everyone,

Well, we are almost at the end of another month so it is time to look back. To say it’s been eventful might just cover how I see it. After navigating a few issues, Betrayed, my latest novel is finally out across Amazon and Smashwords. I’m waiting for it to hit other platforms, and as soon as I receive notification that has happened I will amend the universal link on my Facebook Page. While May hasn’t been the easiest of months to get through, it has shaken me enough that I’ve set in place a new writing schedule. I’ve also made the decision to start a course in fiction writing.

As writers we are always striving to learn, to grow, and that is why I’m undertaking this course. I want to grow as a writer so that I can achieve my goal of writing full time, and I know with hard work and determination I will succeed.

Well, that’s all for now. So until next time, take care and stay safe.

Under Pressure

Hi everyone,

Sorry for the ear worm I might have sparked with my post title, but it’s appropriate given how this week is going. One thing I promised myself I wouldn’t do is put myself under pressure regarding my writing, and what have I done? Yes, you guessed it, I broke my promise. It’s so easy to slip back into bad habits without realizing your on that path, fortunately I managed to catch myself before I fell down the rabbit hole at the end. I know some pressure is okay, but when it gets to the point it turns into a weight pressing down on you, that’s when you have to step back and look at what’s going on.

I’ve realized that one of the main things for me is setting fixed release dates for my books, so that is something I’m pushing pause on for a while. My characters need their stories told in the best way I can do it, so lifting that weight off is going to help achieve that. Only when my characters and myself have reached a point in the story we are happy with will I announce a date – and not before.

Regarding my upcoming release, it looks on track for release on Kindle on the 19th, but if that should have to change then I will post it on my Facebook Page. The second Kacie Rayne novel is moving along nicely and I’m going over my release schedule for the rest of the year to see what other releases I have planned. I am working on something new, but that will not be seeing the light of day until early 2022.

Well, that’s all for now. So until next time, stay safe and well.

Raven.

Hello May

Hi everyone,

April is behind us and May is a new chapter, one I fully intend on making as amazing as possible. I’ve a lot of plans set for this month and the following two months, but the focus for May rests on Betrayed and the second Kacie Rayne novel. I’m currently on the last read through of Betrayed, checking to make sure I’ve not overlooked anything which could throw a proverbial monkey wrench into hitting my release date. So far, so good, and if all continues along this path it will hit Kindle on May 17th.

I will be getting back to work on the second Kacie Rayne novel at the end of this week and I’m hoping to get it on Kindle mid June. Fortunately I’ve already written half the first draft so that target should be reached okay. With all that going on I’m also getting the revamp of my website underway, along with my rebranding, so I’m a busy Raven.

Well, that’s all for now, so I’m off to get some more editing done. Take care and stay safe and well.

Raven.
