A New Week

Hi everyone 🙂

I hope you are all keeping safe and well. Here in the world of Raven things are getting clearer. I have to admit that last week wasn’t exactly spectacular, but at the end of it I had what I suppose you would call a mini epiphany. While on one level I was moving forward I realized over the weekend that there were still ties to the past which needed dealing with. Gaining that realization has helped me deal with them and make concrete plans regarding my writing career. So there will be a few changes made as I start setting things in place and as they happen I will let you know 🙂

Regarding my writing, Betrayed, which is my next release is entering the final edit stage and if all continues to go to plan it will be released on Amazon on…May 10th. The blurb and a teaser can be found on my Facebook page. My next release will be the second Kacie Rayne novel, more details will follow when I have them.

I’ve dropped the amount of social media I’m on, so you can find me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Goodreads. You can also check out what books I have currently published on my website and on my Amazon Author Page.

Well, that’s all for now, so until next time, take care.

A Kick in the Rear

Hi everyone,

Do you ever get times when you really need a metaphorical kick in the rear? Well, that’s what I got today and after calming down I realized it was something I needed. There’s been a lot of things going on which I’ve allowed, unconsciously, to start impacting my writing and my plans regarding it. It’s so easy to slide into a situation or circumstance without realizing what is going on and hard to drag yourself back to where you need to be.

Today I got home from my day job and settled down to work on edits, which I accomplished. I was going to get some more done after grabbing a snack – and that’s when I got pulled sideways. Emails arrived from work which needed answering, then there was getting food cooked, and also feeding the kitteth. By the time I’d finished I was frazzled and ready to call it a day. That was when my, how can I put this without sounding like I have bats in the belfry – inner voice yelled for my attention. When I listened, it asked me what I was doing. What about my plans? What about my ambitions and my determination to become a full time writer by the end of the year?

I have to admit the kick up the rear had me stop, take a step back, and look at the situation. By doing that I realized I was letting other things create a barrier preventing me from staying on track. Now I know, I can clear my head, refocus my attention and lock my determination back in place. I know I will make the occasional slip, but with my focus back where it should be the barriers shouldn’t be so hard to remove.

So, it’s time to grab a coffee, fire up word, and get back to work.

Until next time, take care and stay safe 🙂

Raven.

Of Words and Muses

Hi everyone,

Well, I had my first Covid shot last week and fortunately the only side effect I suffered was a sore arm where the needle went in. So that meant apart from a few additional breaks my writing schedule remained unchanged, which I was thankful for. The latest round of Betrayed edits has been completed, so that is being set aside for a day before I read it through for what I’m hoping will be the final time. Though I’ve learned never to count my chickens before they’ve hatched where my writing is concerned.

My muse, bless her, seems to have upped her caffeine intake because while I was working on edits she dropped a new story idea into my mind. I have the bare bones written down but I won’t be starting on it until I’ve caught up on my release schedule. Given the number of books I’m set to work on, this new story probably won’t see the light of day – or a word document until the latter part of the year. When I make a final decision I’ll let you all know 🙂

If you want to know more about me, I can be found on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, and Goodreads. If you are curious about my books then please head over to either my website or my Amazon Author Page where you will find them listed 🙂

That’s all for now, so until next time stay safe and well.
