Characters and Chaos

Hi everyone,

Things are in the early stages of chaos within the Raven home. My writing schedule for the week is up in the air due to my first Covid shot tomorrow (Tuesday). Having heard from friends the knock on effect it can have, I might either suffer mild effects or get knocked on my rear for four days. If it’s the latter then my writing will go on hold until I work through it. Of course I doubt my characters would take kindly to any sort of delay given they are enjoying tossing curve balls at me. I swear they are the reason I’ve developed a coffee addiction 😀 😀

Regarding my current w.i.p’s, Betrayed is going through its second round of edits which has entailed additional changes. Fortunately, I’m still on track for an end of April release. My second w.i.p is on hold until those edits are completed. That one I am aiming for a mid to end of May release, (more info when I have it). I do have a rough schedule in place regarding other book releases for the year, but I’m keeping it fluid so as to not put undue pressure on myself.

What day is it?

Hi everyone 🙂

I’m sure I’m not the only one who is losing track of what day of the week they are on. Heck, I think at some point I might have lost track of what week it is. Fortunately, my characters and muse don’t care about such things and remind me that at the moment days and weeks don’t really matter. What does is getting the words down and the stories written. And that leads me nicely into how things are progressing in my writing world 🙂

I announced on my Facebook page that my first release of the year would be titled “Betrayed” and is the first in a new series. The cover reveal is set for April 3rd with the release date tentatively set for the end of April. When I can announce a set date I will post it on my Facebook page. My other work in progress is moving along nicely and I reckon that will probably be out end of May. I’ll provide more info about that when I can. I’m aiming to release at least another three books after that one, so I’m seriously going to have to get on top of my time management to ensure I can get them done.

Apart from all that I’m finally getting over my bronchitis and falling into a more settled sleep pattern. There are few glitches where I end up sleeping on the couch, but fortunately they are becoming fewer. With luck and better weather I’ll soon be able to start spending time in the garden working and of course, writing 🙂

Turning the Page

Hi everyone,

A new month brings with it fresh hopes and new opportunities. It also in a way gives you a chance to reboot and revise previously made plans, and that’s where I find myself. I know the continued lockdown due to Covid and the time it is taking to get over my illness have impacted me, but something strange happened when the new month started. Stress, useless concerns, and worries dropped away, leaving me with a clearer focus on what I want. No, that’s the wrong way to put it, what I am going to do moving forward. Plans are already being set in place and my old foe procrastination has been kicked into touch. I know I can’t plan for every eventuality, but I’m going to do my best to try.

So, the first days of this month haven’t been bad. Edits have started on one of my w.i.p’s, and the second is close to having its first draft completed. I’m currently looking at utilizing other social media, so once I have made my decisions I’ll post links to them in case you want to follow me. I will be making announcements regarding the cover reveal dates and tentative release dates for my current w.i.p’s this week on my Facebook Page.
