November Review.

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all staying safe and well 🙂 As the title says, this is a review of how things have gone in November for me. There is a saying that goes along the lines of “The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry.” And that has happened to me this month. I had intended on releasing Nocturnus two mid-month, then start on the second Kacie Rayne novel with the intention of releasing that end of December. However due to changes in my personal life, which are good, plans have shunted sideways. So now, I’m aiming to release the second Nocturnus novel before Christmas, with the second Kacie Rayne novel coming out the beginning of 2021. The other stories I’m working on were not coming out until next year anyway, so they aren’t impacted.

During November I’ve managed to take some time to sit and think about what my goals are for not only next month, but 2021 as a whole. I’m aiming to release more books in 2021 (more to come about exactly what ones later), increase my presence on social media, and get to grips with the marketing side of writing, (both these to be started December). I know I can achieve all these if I avoid procrastinating and this year has not exactly helped me avoid that. I’m not using that as an excuse, but sometimes it is hard to focus when the world around you is turning upside down.

A new month though is a new page in the book of life, fresh and clean, so I’m going to do what I’ve said I will do, and come 2021 when the new chapter starts, I’m going to hit the ground running.

Set your goals, aim for the moon, and even if you miss, you will land amongst the stars.

Until next time,

Raven.

Where are the jump leads?

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all staying safe and well 🙂 At the moment I feel like I’m running on nothing more than fumes and diminishing caffeine reserves. I think its partly due to it getting darker earlier and my body clock trying to adjust. By 6 p.m. I’m thinking about bed, which doesn’t help when I’m working through edits. I swear if my reserves drop any lower I might have to consider jump leads to get me going 😀

Talking of edits, I’m halfway through the ones for Nocturnus 2, which fingers crossed should be completed tomorrow (Tuesday). I’m still working on my other stories and I’m about to start planning out the second Kacie Rayne Novel. I had aimed to get that released by year’s end, but with all that has gone on it looks like it will be the start of 2021. I will keep you all up to date regarding release dates on my Facebook Page. Also if you want to discover what books I currently have released then head over to either my website or my Amazon Author Page where you will find them listed.

Until next time,

Raven

Revamp, Review.

Hi everyone,

With the end of 2020 looming ever closer I’ve taken some time to look over what’s gone on in my life this year writing wise. I have to admit that when the pandemic hit my plans shot sideways, but I think that was the same for a lot of people. Now I’m in a place where I can step back and look at all that has gone on. Because certain aspects of my life have improved over the latter half of this year I’ve been able to focus more on my writing. I’ve also started to get a handle on the other things I need to get sorted out: promotion, marketing, my website, to name but three. I’ve also decided that a revamp is in order, so I’m aiming by years end to have my rebranding sorted out and in place for 2021.

I’m currently working on both new stories which I am aiming to bring to you next year and stories concerning familiar faces. I can’t wait for you to meet them all and I hope that when they are published you will check them out. In the meantime if you are interested in seeing what books I already have published, head over to my Amazon Author Page where you will find them listed. You can also find out about them on my website.

Time to head back into the writing cave 🙂

Raven’s Round Up

Hi everyone,

A short post today as I’m working on stories and edits. As the title of blog post says, this is a round up of things going on in my world. I’ve just completed the second round of edits on the second Nocturnus novel and I’ll be going over them after I’ve taken a day off. Work on my secret project is moving along nicely and a new story I’m working on is starting to take better shape.

I’m hoping to start getting some words down on the second Kacie Rayne novel in a couple of weeks and I’m aiming to get that out by the end of the year. I’m also hoping to get my secret project out at around the same sort of time, but I’ll let you know more when things are clearer.

In the meantime, if you want to check out my current releases then please head over to my Amazon Author Page where you will find them listed. I’m also on Facebook, and I have a website, so please feel free to check them out as well 🙂

That’s all for now, so until next time take care and stay safe.

November, November

Hi everyone,

Another month starts, one that brings us closer to the end of the year. Its start has me painting my office/study room, something that I’d long put off. It took staring at bare walls for a couple of months to get me motivated enough to get the paint and brushes so I could get going.

While the decorating is going on, I’m still working hard on my second Nocturnus novel and my secret project. Fingers crossed, the Nocturnus novel will be out either the second or third week of November. The secret project might be out before the end of the year. I’ll share more when things become clearer.

Before I head off to pick up my paintbrush again, I would like to wish all those taking part in NaNoWriMo good luck and may the words flow free.

Until next time,

Raven.
